BeSure Disability Travel Insurance

Disability Travel Insurance for Disabled People

Disability is wide ranging and that's why we have put together a choice of cover options to meet the individual needs of disabled travellers. Whether your disability is physical or a chronic medical condition, we can tailor a policy that allows you to travel with security and peace of mind.

As well as our standard benefits which include cover for cancellation, medical expenses, personal accident and personal belongings we also offer:

Cover for Existing Medical Conditions:

Declare your diagnosed medical conditions and we can tailor a policy that includes cover for them. Provided you choose either our Premier or Premier Plus cover, you will be entitled to cancel your holiday if you become unwell due to existing medical conditions. You can also rest assured that you will not be left paying out for expensive medical bills if you require any unplanned hospital treatment whilst abroad.

Loss of Medication :

You can claim up to the schedule of cover for the necessary and reasonable cost of replacing essential medication that is lost, stolen or damaged during your trip.

Cover for Mobility Aids and Equipment:

Cover for wheelchairs, walking sticks and any other mobility aids you rely on will be covered up to the schedule of cover if they become lost, stolen or damaged during your trip. We also pay the cost of hiring a temporary replacement. This cover is automatically included in our cover packages at no extra cost.

Cover for Carers

If you rely on a carer to be able to travel or if you’re travelling with someone who relies on you for personal care and support, then our Carer Cover is a must. As a carer, consider who would provide support to your disabled travelling companion if you became unwell or had an accident on holiday; what would happen? The solution would be a replacement carer and that’s exactly what we would provide. Our cover pays for travel and accommodation expenses so the replacement carer can travel abroad in order to provide necessary support to the disabled person.
